Monday Inspiration: Enchanted.

This week's inspiration is from a song that is, well... enchanting.. A few weeks ago I was having some major creative blocks trying to come up with an idea for something.  I put on some music and when this song came on my mind started to wonder and a story played out.

Taylor Swift is a master at the lyric.  This song really makes you go off into another world or atleast maybe that's just me. :)

Needless to say, I came out of my creative block that day.

Monday Inspiration: Buildings.

Buildings.  You're probably thinking I'm crazy, but maybe not?  Have you really looked at an extremely tall building before and been inspired?  Of what it took to get that gorgeous, tall building standing.

I do.  Maybe this is why I want to travel to Barcelona and London... the architecture (possibly the accents, too).

Monday Inspiration: A Quote That Artist's Should Remember.

Just something to keep in mind as you're working on your latest project.  Some people who don't work on art might think that art needs to resemble something... that it needs to look like something to get what it means.  

To help them realize that art doesn't have to resemble something is tricky.  The best answer I have it to create your art the way you want and be honest in how you are interpreting something.  The honest you are, the more it should show up in your work.

I am kind of rediscovering this song.  When it first came out, I loved it (which wasn't that long ago, actually).  It's a beautiful song that has lyrics that stay with me.

Monday's Inspiration!

I love his music.  I love his voice.

Listening to a few youtube videos of his music, this is the one that I kept going back to.  The one that my mind was feeling inspired to do something.

It helps a lot that his voice is smooth like buttah.  I understand that margarine is healthier, but buttah flows better.  It's also more fun to show off that [horrible] awesome new england accent.  Buttah.

"Never Grow Up" -Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift has a knack for writing songs that anyone can relate to.  It's most definitely her gift.

I love this song.  From what I see, kids now-a-days seem to be in a rush to grow up.  Taylor Swift has, I think, perfectly illustrated the fact that they should enjoy their childhood.

Being an adult in this time is hard.  Job hunting ....bills ...finding your soul mate.  It is enough to make your head spin.  Some times rejection is hard and you just want to go back to a time when it was easy.  There are also the things that you couldn't do as a child.  More opportunities available.  Just take one step at a time. Enjoy life. 

Just remember ..."Sometimes life is a test. To see what you're made of.. But remember that you're never presented with more than you can handle. You can do it."

Oh, I went all optimistic on you.  That's right.

This song...  it always reminds me to keep my dreams in check and live my life well. So when you're old and toward the end of your life you can look back on it and smile.

 I get chilllllsssss whenever she sings "..I'm ready noooow.." toward the end.  

It's just such a calming and comforting song for me.

Also, when I heard this song play in that movie "Bride Wars" I was pretty excited.
You see... I love that movie.

Beautiful song.  Gorgeous vocals. I just love it.
It doesn't hurt that this song was in "Princess Diaries 2" but I would love this song even if it weren't for that movie.

I was at a toss up between this song and another favorite of mine by Norah Jones.  Maybe that other one will wind up in the list later on. :)  We shall see.

Gloomy weather does not help inspiration.

Why, hello there!!

I know... I know.. Lack of posting over here.  Lack of artwork.  So sad. :(   This past week the sun has peaked through, but for the most part it's been gloomy and I've been feeling not very inspired.  I've done a lot of reading.  The Divergent series so far is fantastic.  I can't believe I have to wait until next year for the last one...

Trying to get inspired, though!  Listening to some of the songs on my Songs To Inspire series (i will finish that.  I will, I will.). Today I am feeling a little more inspired, though... Hmm..  Each day. :)

  I'm still job hunting, doing some design on the side, making jewelry. The usually.

I just wanted to post a quick update.

I've been trying to list new items of jewelry in my etsy shop and a decent sale, as well.  Link at the top.

I've also been entering some design contests.  Who knows if I'll win, but it's nice to pull something together that I'm proud of.

Is anyone else as flabbergasted as I am that it is already MAY?  It feels like the year has just begun.
