Some inspiring NAIL ART!

If you follow this blog, there should be no surprise that I love nail art.  I love creating something neat and pretty on my nails! It can make you feel happy and creative whenever you look down at your nails throughout the day! :)

Anywho, I watch this lady on youtube who posts a video a few times a week
with different nail art tutorials and let me tell you...

...she is crazy talented!

Here is an example...

I definitely recommend checking out more of her nail designs.
She makes it look so effortless and definitely gives me ideas for my own nails!

What's you're favorite nail design of hers?

Creative Find! a flip flop DIY.

Why, hello there!

While I was on youtube, browsing through my subscriptions, I ran across this DIY by Brittani Louise Taylor.  It intrigued because I have so many flip flops that I really haven't been wearing...

But this video has inspired me to try and change each up in some way, shape or form!
And I wish I thought of it first.
But I didn't.
But I am still sharing these ideas with you because this girl came up with great ones.
(:

Definitely check her out; I personally love the look of the bow flip flops. :)

Here are a few that I made:

Top left: yarn | Top right: a lace fringe | Bottom left: gem stones | Bottom right: bows!

Good luck and have fun!

Creative Find! Knitted Bracelets?!

I frequently visit DesignSponge[dot]com to see what ideas are up and I follow the site on twitter.  A couple of months ago a post went up about this DIY knitted bracelet and I just knew I wanted to try this out.

So naturally, I wait 2 months before trying it.  My excuse was that I needed to go get a yarn needle and didn't have a chance until this weekend. :)  Yeah, I'll stick with that!

Even for the beginner knitter, this is really easy peasy!  I mean, mine didn't come out perfect and I had to try a couple of times to get the sizing right but the it's just a simple knit stitch.  That is all.  Pretty fast to create, too.

I wonder ...instead of the button, if a bead would work... a large bead.

Check it out on Design Sponge!

Give it a try!
Isn't it FUN to find creative projects?! :)

Creative Finds! Old Frames = Practical & Art?!

Lately I've been seeing these craft ideas around a lot.  Changing up an old frame to make it something else ...like a jewelry holder or a front door display item.  It's showing that you can make an item that might be old, into something new!

If done right, it could be a new piece of art up on your wall.

There are different ways you can approach this old frame craft idea.  You can sand it down, give it a new coat of paint... I remember seeing an idea of cork board wrapped in a pretty wall paper behind the frame... it was quite a while now but when I find it again, I'll be sure to share it on twitter!

Once you get an idea, go for it!

Finding out simple ways to be creative is fun and can really lighten ones mood.  After you make a project like this, you will not only have a new piece in your house that is a focal point but whenever you see it, you will know that it was you that put it together!  You made art.

How would you make your old frame wall piece?
