Crashing through that Artist Block + More Handmade Costume Jewelry

Man, that was a long post title.  Possibly my longest title?  Possibly THE longest title? Erm, yeah, anyway...

I have finally been able to make more costume jewelry.  I've found that the best way to get through an 'artist block' is my just pulling through.  Crashing through.  Pow .. bang..  poosh .. poosh?  Yeah, I don't know.  Writing anything that comes to mind in an idea book or sketch pad works.  So, I say always have one handy.  I actually use an idea book where I write and doodle in.  Ok, so I guess it's the same thing as a sketch pad.. It's only lined.  Whenever I carried a sketch pad around, I was always so focused on drawing something good in it, I guess.  I never really used mine for ideas, except for class, but this way works well for me, the idea book.

Anywho, here are the jewelry pieces I've came up with:

Have a great weekend!

p.s. There seems to be one necklace which I forgot to take a picture of. Hm.. I'll have to save it for it's own post. :)

I like to make some of my own jewellery too and I have to agree. It can get difficult to crash through that block if you don't just hammer you head against it sometimes. I also find that when I work on something, even if I'm not pleased with the way something's turning out that I'm working on, it will give me new and fresh ideas for the next piece.

Oh dear... I hate it when i have an 'artist block'. I generally just try to pick up my camera and go out and take loads of pics when I'm not feeling inspired to draw!

I love how you make your own jewellery! (I saw and design my clothes)... but perhaps I will try this in the future
