Color Flare Poster

I love those lens flare effects you see on some photos.  It's a pretty easy filter in photoshop that you can use.  This weekend, I really wanted to try and recreate something like that in Adobe Illustrator, which is my go-to program.

Make Art Not War Art Print: An art update.

I recently came across this art print in a folder on my desktop and realized that I never posted it!

I love this message that I am trying to get across in it because it helps you to remember to try
and see past the bad and make art that can put a smile on someone's face.

Whether your art be music, writing, painting, architecture, etc.

It really supports me as an artist.  If needed, I can make it a digital print in any size.

Have a great Sunday!

Hibiscus Flower!

Hello, hi, how're you doing!? :)
I know, it's been some time since I've posted here.

I've been working hard on trying to expand and get some design work out there.

I really like the hibiscus flower! I think because when you look at it, you think summer and warmer weather.

I know flowers have meanings and I was really curious as to what the meaning of this flower is...

Here is what I found [source: http://www.ehow.com/about_6538458_meaning-hibiscus-flower.html]

•Delicate Beauty

•Old Royalty "to bring power and respect, sign of hospitality"

•Gentle

•Known as 'flower of the hour' & 'seize the opportunity'

Naturally, this would be right up my alley.

So I drew it digitally and put something together.

I think it's perfect for this time of the year because it's that graduation time

and the weather is getting warmer... (depending where you are?)!!

As always, this power is available to purchase in the shop digitally and not so digitally.

It really support me as an artist when one shares or buys a poster.

And I thank you for that! :)

Your Time to SHINE! a poster design.

Today I bring you a new poster design.

cindydesigns.net
11x17 poster

I was actually working on the concept for this poster last week.  I wasn't sure where else I wanted to go with it but it pretty much is self explanatory.  Stop waiting for something to happen.  You take your goal in your career/life path and do what you can to reach it!

It is an important time to start shining.  Now more than ever.

Take this time to really think about what your goals are.  Write down how you can reach it and step into the spotlight and SHINE!

I will, too.

Determination!!

Another week, another poster!  This one just might be finished...
I wanted to share it here today because I am really happy with the outcome.
As of right now, I can't think of anything else that it needs
but that doesn't mean that I won't tweak it somewhere down the line.

Needless to say, it won't be on sale anytime soon.

The meaning behind the poster is determination;  take the city by storm!

Have FAITH that you will succeed in what you're passionate about.

Have a great Tuesday!

A Magical Fairytale.... New Poster!

Why, hello there! (:

A new poster!  Actually, I've been working on getting this design right for while now.  I was back and forth on whether or not to add color, shading, more to the background...

It's a poster to illustrate what every girl may love; a magical fairytale just like Cinderella by dancing as though you're floating; like you're the only two in the room.

available at cindydesigns.net
without the watermark;
that's a blog thing.

Hopefully I was able to incorporate all that in this simple poster.

And hopefully you enjoyed! (:

Thank you for reading and have a great Wednesday!

(half way through the week!! We got this..)

poster design. SHINE BRIGHT.

Why, hello my lovely readers! :)

I am here to bring you a new poster design and why I created it.

available for purchase over at

http://www.cindydesigns.net/posters

The 'i am Artsy Fartsy' watermark

in the upper corner will NOT be included.

that is a blog thing. :)

Shine? In a sun?!  Why did I do this?  Well, let me tell you...

I had this idea about making a poster with a sun

and I wanted it to have meaning behind it...

So the reason for this poster being made is quite simply...

Shine as BIG and as BRIGHT as the sun.

Find what you love and go big.

(provided that it's legal. yeah.)

Posters! What fun!! Visual Artist Support!

Recently I remember when I was still in college getting my degree in graphic design, I wanted to become a poster designer.  I guess with the stress of trying to find a full time job (atleast somewhat related to my degree) I had forgotten about this.  Now that I am working full time and doing my art on the side, I guess it's the right time.  I feel like I am now free to really concentrate on my art without having 'the worry' of supporting myself.  Now I just have to find the time. Oh boy.

I've heard about this site before but this weekend I --sort of-- came by it again. I don't know why I never really signed up for it.  It seems like a great way to promote the visual artist.

I decided to keep my society6 store the same name as this blog.  Unification at its prime. :) ...is unification even a word??   I still have my etsy store, of course.  Society6 is nice because I feel like it's geared toward the print designer.

Right now the site is having free shipping through September 16!  Just go to the link below to qualify for that:

Support your favorite artists.  There's music artists and visual artists.  We both create.  We both need supporting. :)
