Marble Sparkle Nail Art!

Lately I have been at a loss with what kind of nail art to do.  If you look through my nail art designs on here, I've come up with some pretty different ones but also some pretty simple ones.  Soon I realized sometimes it's nice to do a nothing too special on all but one nail.

You've seen when people just have one nail a different color/sparkle then the rest, right?  The "accent" nail.
I really like this idea because it gives your nail design something different without getting too overdone.  Sometimes the more nail art you have on your nails, the more messy it looks.  SOMETIMES less is more.  Sometimes...

Fourth of the July Nail Design: French Manicure Style

Happy Fourth of July!  

For this upcoming Holiday, I decided to go with a simple, french manicure style nail design.

Mostly because I couldn't think of something ...different.  I didn't want something too different, you know?

If the nail design is too different, it may miss the point of the design ..which is the Holiday.

Atleast that's what I tell myself, anyway. :) hehe.

I started with a simple red polish for the base (Cherry On Top- JulieG), 

and for the tip I painted a thicker white line (White On- Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear)

and ended with a thinner line of the blue (Midnight Blue- Sinful Colors).

Of course, waiting for each color to dry somewhat. 

For the accent nail, I used the same blue and added little jewels for the 'stars'.  

I always have somewhat of a problem with these always falling off right away, so I really

packed on the clear top coat ....hopefully it'll work!

Three Tone Nail Design

Lately I've been trying to come up with a different nail design.  

When in doubt, I usually just do a variation on the french tip.  This time I changed it up, slightly.  

Simple Elegance French Tip Nail Design!

Hello everyone!

I'm never sure if I should put all of my nail designs up when it is very simple but nail designs/art seem to be pretty popular on here and I do enjoy sharing what I come up with.  So here is another look!

This week I wanted to just do a french tip because it's fast and can look really nice with the right colors!

The purple I used it "Passion" from the JulieG collection which I am loving right now! It's a really pretty shimmery purple.  

No matter what you are doing throughout the day, you do end up looking at your hands a few times.  You may not realize this at first but you do.  Why not look down and possibly make your mood happier just by liking the color or design on your nails? 

Try this style with your favorite colors!  Maybe for springtime? :)

Easter/Spring French Tip Nail Design!

 Hello my artsy readers!

Today I bring you a ...Easter/Spring style nail design!!

I was actually planning on doing an Easter egg design on a few nails

but I saw so many people creating different variations of that this year. 

I wanted something a little different.  Although a french tip isn't different; It's classic.

I used my favorite pastel colors that I had (I would have used pink but I only had a bright pink; not pastel)

and for my thumb, I drew a bunny. 

One tip for doing nail art, like this, is to rest your drawing hand on the table.  It's easier and prevents

your hand from being too shaky. 

I kept my right hand with just the french tip.  Not bunny on the thumb.

Didn't attempt that this time. 

The bunny really wasn't too hard.  I used a regular nail polish brush for the face

and then went in with a nail art brush for the ears, eyes and nose. 

Definitely wait until the paint dries before adding the detail on the bunny.

Cinderella Inspired Nail Design! ...of course..

So I was at the store this weekend and as I was browsing around the racks of nail polish as I normally do 

(an obsession that I must stop, aaahh) I saw this light blue color that had a hint of sparkle. 

I thought it was so pretty.
